There is a deep truth God is communicating to this generation, and it centres around the mind. If God must trust a man with influence, resources, authority, or visibility, He must first settle the man’s mind. Heaven does not commit destiny into an unrenewed mind. That is why process is not punishment; process is mind surgery. Scripture says in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”Meaning: your becoming is a direct product of your thinking. God does not bless beyond mindset, because whatever the mind cannot carry, the hands cannot sustain

Let’s break this down clearly.

📌 ENLARGEMENT OF MIND

One of the first assignments God gives to a man is mind enlargement. God does not upgrade lives without first expanding perception. That’s why Romans 12:2 says,
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Notice it didn’t say “be transformed by prayer alone” or “by prophecy alone.” Transformation follows renewal of the mind.

Many people pray for big things while carrying small thinking. They want global impact but think locally. They want kingdom relevance but reason carnally. And God, being a wise Father, will not pour new wine into old wineskins (Matthew 9:17). If He does, both the wine and the vessel will be lost.
This is why God often allows delay—not because He is slow, but because the mind is still too narrow.

A narrow mind cannot interpret large opportunities correctly. Even when favour comes, the mind will mislabel it as fear, intimidation, or impossibility. God told Abraham in Genesis 13:14–15, “Lift your eyes… for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it.”What Abraham could see, God could give. Your allocation in destiny is connected to your vision capacity. If you see small, you receive small. If you think small, you live small.
Many believers unknowingly insult God with their mindset. God is thinking generational impact, and they are thinking survival. God is thinking of nations, and they are thinking of rent. God is thinking legacy, and they are thinking comfort.

That’s why God takes men through seasons of stretching pressure, instructions that don’t make sense, responsibilities that look bigger than them. It’s not to break them; it’s to enlarge their inner capacity
Isaiah 54:2 says, “Enlarge the place of thy tent… lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.”
Before an increase comes, space must be created. Enlargement is first internal before it becomes external.
If your mind cannot host greatness, greatness will pass you by respectfully.

📌 YOUR CHARACTER, YOUR MIND

Character is simply the visible expression of an invisible mindset. How you behave reveals how you think. You cannot separate character from mindset; character is mindset in action. Jesus said in Luke 6:45, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”Your reactions, habits, tone, and conduct all flow from what has been stored in the mind.

This is why God does not just prepare destinies—He prepares people. Many people pray for divine connections but repel helpers because of their unrefined character. Destiny helpers are not just attracted by gifting; they are sustained by behaviour
Imagine Joseph: before God took him to the palace, He refined his character in the pit and prison. Administration, humility, discipline, and integrity were formed long before elevation came. When opportunity arrived, his character could carry it
My bible says in Proverbs 22:29, “Seest thou a man diligent in his work? he shall stand before kings.”Kings don’t stand before talent alone; they stand before discipline.

Bad character is not just a moral issue—it’s a mindset issue. Pride is a mindset. Carelessness is a mindset. Dishonour is a mindset. And God resists the proud not because He hates them, but because pride cannot receive instruction (James 4:6). Many people chase what God has already prepared for them, simply because their character keeps disqualifying them at the door of opportunity. God may open the door, but character determines whether you are retained inside.

That’s why God often hides men before revealing them. He teaches them how to speak, how to relate, how to handle authority, and how to manage emotions. Because exposure without character is destruction. Galatians 5:22–23 talks about the fruit of the Spirit, not the gifts. Gifts announce you, but fruit sustains you.
