The Holy Spirit taught me something profound again. πππ. I don’t even know how these things work, but what he taught me now again shook me to the bones!
Thank you, Holyspirit, for your Light ππ
Do you know that the chain of Thanksgiving I gave yesterday, as the Holy Spirit taught me, all of them are contained in praise? More like, they are inside praise. Each letter of the word P R A I S E captures the whole essence of Thanksgiving with scriptures to back it up. Follow me and let’s look at it together.
Yesterday, I said the chain for Thanksgiving is Thinking/reflection–> Heart–> Fruit of Lips –> Quality substance/offering. Now, see this ππΎ, the meaning of PRAISE. It is not praise if 80% of these are not captured.
P – PRESENTS AND PRESENCE. Present your presents (offerings, substances) in His Presence
This means two things are here. Your present (offering) and God’s presence. Scripture is Proverbs 3:9 – “Honour the Lord with thy substances.”
R – REMEMBRANCE. Remember all the things he has done for you throughout the year and the past years. His lovingkindness and tender mercies.
This falls under “Thinking and Reflection.” When you think and remember, you will thank God well.
A – ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Acknowledge God in all your ways as the source of your life and your well-being. In Thanksgiving, you acknowledge who you are thanking. You must be specific. Call the names of those you are thanking.
This falls under “fruit of lips and Heart). When your heart is right, you will acknowledge his name, presence and goodness. We see this in Proverbs 3:6 – “In all your ways, Acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.”
I – “IN EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS”. π€. In the good, we give thanks. In the bad, we give thanks. Things went well, we give thanks. Things did not go well; we give thanks.
This falls under “fruit of lips and heart.” So, the fruits of your lips must come from a right heart posture. We see this in 1 Thess. 5:18 – “In everything, give thanks.”
S – SHOUTS OF JOY Real praise is not complete without a shout of Joy. A shout of Praise. This is what secured victory and made the enemies of Judah start killing one another in 2 Chronicles 20. Shouting is one of the pillars of quality praise.
It was a shout of Praise that brought down the ancient walls of Jericho in Joshua 6. π£οΈπ£οΈ. Again, this is from the fruits of the lips. See it here in scripture. ππΎ
Psalms 66:1 – Shout joyful Praises to God, all the earth.
E – ENTRANCE π€. Let me sing: “πΉπΌ I will enter his gates with what ????? Thanksgiving! ππ½. Psalm 100:4. What this means is that no man is allowed to enter God’s presence without first giving thanks. This is why we always start with Thanksgiving before we even pray. It’s a code of entrance.
Everything I described above is the real meaning of PRAISE. ππ½. Each letter is not a coincidence; it means something deep.
